A blog is supposed to be real and personal, so I'm gonna keep it real for you guys today. I'm sitting in one of THE worst places in the world right now while writing this. Can you guess? If you answered the DMV, then, ding-ding-ding, you get the prize (lord knows I sure don't)!! So in light of that, I need to write a blog that's funny, something that will make me smile. And, BONUS, I'm passing on the fun to you! Today's blog is going to be a visual one; we are going to look at dogs in funny holiday costumes. In addition to the pictures, you get my snarky, sometimes funny, running commentary to go with the photos. I'm calling that a win. Here at Tails Up Pet Care, we don't discriminate: we love all dogs, all cats, and want to celebrate ALL the holidays with you! In my family, we aren't religious “nuts”, but we are religious “mutts”! That's my way of saying we have all kinds of costumes for your viewing pleasure!
We'll start with Christmas costumes, which, of course, are the most common ones:

This little guy is pulling Santa's sleigh, but he doesn't look happy about it! His face is saying: “Seriously, you're gonna make me wear this thing?”. I think that makes the picture even BETTER!
This next one is one of my faves. It's cute. It's humiliating. It's cute-miliating (see what I did there?). This gingerbread dog looks good enough to eat!
Of course, no Christmas would be complete without a Santa dog. If this was my dog, his belly would definitely jiggle like a bowl full of jelly! I tend to spoil my puppies with dog treats.
Put on your yarmulke, it's time for Hanukkah--- costumes that is! And none too soon, as the first night of Hanukkah is tonight!
This one cracks me up, because these two actually remind me of rabbis! They are truly dressed for latkes and dreidels. Hey, fellas, why so serious? We're celebrating a miracle here!

Oy! These dogs are getting lit on Hanukkah! Ahem. I mean, someone got really creative and made a dog-norah. You know, a dog+ a Menorah = dog-norah.
Finally, I just HAD to put this in here, because I feel like the person who thought of this is exceedingly clever and good with words. You can imagine that this would appeal to me. Happy PAW-nukkah, y'all!
Remember how I told you that in my family, we're religious “mutts”? Well, I wasn't joking! We celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, AND Sinterklaas (pronounced “center-class”). Sinterklaas is kinda like the Dutch Santa Claus. You leave your shoe out every night for a couple of weeks in November, and Sinterklaas puts little gifts and treats in your shoe for you to find in the morning. December 5th is Sinterklaas Day, where you get more presents and have a nice meal. And, lo and behold, there is a Sinterklaas dog costume. My life is complete.
Let's move to Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa celebrates African heritage with feasting and gift giving. I am in love with this dog picture. His hat is amazing and beautiful, just like his holiday. Happy Kwanzaa!
The final holiday is Festivus. Now, if you haven't watched “Seinfeld” and learned about Festivus For the Rest of Us, you need to go on YouTube or Wikipedia and do that RIGHT NOW. It's a secular holiday, like Sinterklaas. But it's still important, and here's why: On Festivus, which is December 23rd, you get to hold the Festivus pole, and air your grievances! Festivus is also marked with Feats of Strength, a dinner, and, of course, Festivus miracles. In other words, it's epic and worthy of mention. This dog understands:
And, finally, the piece de resistance, the holiday meal. This applies to everyone, no matter what your religion. We all gotta eat, right? Celebrating equals eating! This one takes the cake....and is probably my favorite. Presenting, The Holiday Dog-ner (The Holiday Dinner-- there I go making up words again!)...
